The Residential College in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan <a href="http://www.rc.lsa.umich.edu/" target="_blank">http://www.rc.lsa.umich.edu/</a> is seeking applicants for a full-time Lecturer III to teach courses in the Drama Program and to serve as the head of this program. This is a full time, non-tenure track position with a university-year appointment period beginning January 1, 2024. The Residential College (RC) Drama Program (<a href="https://lsa.umich.edu/rc/current-students/curriculum/drama.html" target="_blank">https://lsa.umich.edu/rc/current-students/curriculum/drama.html</a>) offers introductory and advanced courses in the history, theory, and practice of theatre. The program offers a major and a minor, in which students learn about and practice many aspects of play production from devising and design to acting and directing. Class sizes tend to be small. The successful candidate will serve as head of this program and faculty advisor to the Drama major and teach five courses throughout the academic year (fall and winter terms). These courses will contribute primarily to the Drama Program but could also contribute to other RC programs, such as the Arts and Ideas Program (the RC humanities major) or the First-year Seminar Program (intensive writing courses that satisfy the first-year writing requirement). Additional duties include participation in college- and program-wide activities. The RC Drama Program differs from other performance programs on campus in its commitment to socially engaged theatre, social justice, and community engagement. Some courses enable students to explore theatre in collaboration with local schools, prisons, or public-housing communities. RC Drama courses often integrate textual analysis and performance practices and teach theatre history by staging previously written texts and exploring applied theatre by devising original performances. Candidates in all areas of performance research or practical theatre are welcome to apply. Administrative Responsibilities The responsibilities of the program head for the Drama Program are listed below; these extend throughout the academic year. - Hold regular meetings of the faculty in the program to review and revise the Drama major and minor. - Oversee the course offerings and curriculum management of the program each year, including review of syllabi and course descriptions. - Provide academic advising to students enrolled in the Drama major and minor. - Interact with the RC Academic Services office to coordinate advising of students in the RC Drama Program. - Advise the RC Administrative team and Executive Committee on program needs and accomplishments. - Attend meetings of the RC Curriculum Planning Committee as a representative of the Drama Program. - Serve as faculty mentor to the student organization, RC Players. Expectations The successful candidate will have expertise and background in theater performance, including acting and/or directing. Established expertise in academic disciplines and performance appropriate to the years in the candidate’s field is expected, as well as expertise and background in teaching undergraduates in a wide range of dramatic literature. Requirements Minimum: MFA in a theatre or performance field; MA in Drama, Performance Studies or Theatre Studies, or advanced degree in an interdisciplinary arts program relevant to theatre. Associate of Early Stage Full Professor of Sociology

The Department of Africana Studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) invites applications for the position of Associate Professor of African American and African Diasporic Literature with tenure, to begin August 2024. Applicants with research and teaching interests&nbsp;in any aspects of the production and consumption of African American and African Diasporic literary and popular culture with interdisciplinary and intersectional approaches are welcome. We seek an associate professor with a demonstrated record of excellence in scholarship and teaching related to the field of Africana Studies at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a commitment to and record of advocacy on behalf of the field, and who has leadership potential to assume the headship of the department within a couple of years. Preference will also be given to candidates who understand the historic and contemporary Black experience in America and the African Diaspora and are well-versed in critical race studies to provide intellectual and administrative leadership to our interdisciplinary program. A Ph.D. in African American Literature and African Diasporic Literature or a closely related field is required, and additional expertise in African American and African Diasporic literature, media, and/or visual culture is preferred. Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The salary range for this position is $112,194 - $116,041.

Stanford Department of African and African American Studies:Assistant Professor of Caribbean Studies

This individual will envision a new digital strategy and library technology model for the UMBC faculty, staff, and students. As a member of the Library Executive Council, the Associate Director and Head of Library Technology &amp; Digital Strategies is expected to have knowledge of trends in research and learning in the academic library setting.&nbsp; This individual collaborates with university colleagues to determine how the library can best support emerging research initiatives. The position does not include budgetary responsibility. While working with the UMBC Division of&nbsp;Information Technology (DoIT), this individual advises library leadership on current, new and emerging library&nbsp;applications and knowledge systems that will advance the library’s vision, mission and strategic plan. Elizabethtown College invites applicants to apply for a full-time position of&nbsp;Lecturer in Physician Assistant Studies. There are 2 positions available. Each position is a permanent 12-month faculty position to begin&nbsp;January 1, 2024&nbsp;with regular annual renewal, pending satisfactory performance. The Physician Assistant Program is a graduate program housed within the School of Human and Health Professions, which is grounded in the mission of Elizabethtown College: Educate for Service. Our program provides an integrated curriculum including the art of medicine that will provide students with a transformative educational experience that emphasizes purposeful work, cultivates personal strengths and develops a passion for lifelong learning.
Job Duties:
Successful colleagues will provide evidence of effective teaching and clinical work as well as be prepared to offer courses in both the didactic and clinical years. Primary responsibilities will be to didactic year students; however, all principal faculty will be fully integrated into the clinical year of the program and will provide graduate level instruction in all phases of the program. This position will assist the program director in the review, planning and development of the program. The candidate will participate in the accreditation process including ongoing course assessments, student assessments, remediation, faculty/staff assessments, program assessments, competency evaluations, accreditation site visits and data collection. This position actively participates in student recruitment and admissions (both undergraduate and graduate physician assistant studies) and student advising (both undergraduate and undergraduate). The position includes emphasis on service and scholarly activities for one’s own growth and development and the benefit of the institution and program. Candidates should have a strong interest in designing enriching experiences for students that foster community engagement, holistic views of medicine and deeper understanding of human behavior. The candidate is expected to contribute to an environment that supports diversity, collegiality, teamwork, and inclusive teaching approaches.
The position also requires maintenance of a professional development plan which addresses standard performance expectations in areas of teaching, scholarship, and service, with attention to diversity, equity, accessibility, and justice.
Required Qualifications:
· Graduate of&nbsp;ARC-PA accredited program or other associated accredited program specific to applicant’s discipline · Current&nbsp;NCCPA&nbsp;certification or current certification per applicant’s discipline · Five years or more of clinical experience · At least three years of quality teaching experience in higher education or related experience. Candidates are required to provide evidence of successful academic teaching experience,
