Position Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled&nbsp;Project Manager&nbsp;to oversee the organization, planning, and execution of commercial construction projects involving doors, frames, and hardware. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring each project is delivered accurately, efficiently, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Lead cross-functional teams to ensure assigned projects are completed on time, within scope, and with precision.</li>
<li>Outline tasks and deliverables required for each project and delegate appropriately.</li>
<li>Conduct cost analyses and provide accurate cost estimates.</li>
<li>Develop and manage project budgets based on estimates.</li>
<li>Perform risk assessments, identify issues, and recommend mitigation strategies — including project termination when necessary.</li>
<li>Address customer questions, concerns, and issues throughout the project lifecycle.</li>
<li>Serve as a liaison between the company, clients, and vendors to ensure smooth communication.</li>
<li>Collaborate with sales and marketing to provide training and information that supports promoting and selling new initiatives.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with all applicable industry standards, federal and state regulations, contractual guidelines, and company best practices.</li>
<li>Prepare detailed submittals and shop drawings using DFH software (Our Client uses Comsense).</li>
<li>Handle revisions, change orders, job site meetings, and related project adjustments as needed.</li>
<li>Perform additional duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>3+ years of experience in the Door, Frame, and Hardware industry.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).</li>
<li>DHI certifications are a plus.</li>
<li>Experience with Comsense software strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Solid knowledge of door hardware, hollow metal, wood doors, STC, FSC, and LEED requirements.</li>
<li>Understanding of building codes relevant to door, frame, and hardware applications, including fire codes, windstorm, ADA, life safety, and general commercial construction compliance.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and familiarity with CAD tools.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specification documents.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Strong customer-focused mindset; friendly, respectful, and professional demeanor.</li>
<li>Analytical thinker with solid problem-solving abilities.</li>
<li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective at managing time and priorities.</li>
<li>Collaborative team player.</li>
