Copperhead Environmental Consulting is expanding its team with Seasonal Wildlife Technicians.
 
Wildlife Technicians assist Copperhead's Scientists with collecting data, conducting research and routine equipment maintenance/testing, and performing basic data entry while working in the field on multiple types of projects; however the technician will predominately be involved in projects involving the study of endangered bat species.
 
These positions are seasonal/temporary, non-exempt, hourly (number of weekly hours not guaranteed but eligible for overtime). Positions will begin in May 2026 and end in August 2026. The number of seasonal positions and seasonal timeframes are approximate and are based on business need. Opportunity for regular employment at the end of the season is possible but not guaranteed.
 
These positions are entry level, physically demanding and require travel to project sites including multiple day/week overnight stays and opportunity for overtime compensation. Travel expenses including transportation from the Copperhead office to the project site, meals and lodging are paid for by Copperhead. On-the-job, paid training is also provided. Cost of transportation to the Copperhead office prior to initiation of the project is not paid for.

<li>20 credit hours in Education or related field or at least 1 year of experience in a licensed child care/school facility.</li>
<li>Must meet all standards as dictated by the state Child Care Division</li>
<li>Obtain Food Handlers within first 30 days</li>
<li>CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to acquire certifications within 30 days of employment</li>

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed at Alberta Rider, James Templeton, and Metzger Elementary school’s YMCA Before and after school program and occasionally at sites in the West Linn, Beaverton and Portland areas. At times, work will be performed outside of “normal work hours” dependent on current programs/events being offered. Work attire; clean ‘nice’ bottoms (black/khaki pants/shorts), YMCA staff shirt, and YMCA name tag.

The Impact You Will Make
The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Everstory is a dedicated, reliable and hard-working individual who understands the importance of detail and providing the highest level of service to our customers. This important role is responsible for the care, maintenance, and repairs of the property as well as the safety and security of the employees and visitors of the location. In this position, you will also be responsible for:

<li>Performing all landscape maintenance duties such as weed-whacking, lawn mowing, etc.</li>
<li>Maintaining equipment.</li>
<li>All functions related to funeral services.</li>
<li>Operating machinery appropriately in a safe manner.</li>
<li>Installing or assisting in installing cemetery vaults.</li>
<li>Installing headstones or memorials as needed.</li>
<li>Handling the day-to-day general maintenance duties.</li>
<li>Handling snow removal (if applicable).</li>
<li>Performing other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.</li>
</ul>

Requirements:
<ul>
<li>High School equivalency required.</li>
<li>2+ years experience in maintenance or related field.</li>
<li>Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.</li>
<li>Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor and/or management.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.</li>
<li>Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 80lbs.</li>
<li>Must possess a valid state driver’s license.</li>
<li>This position requires availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.</li>
