The George Washington University Law Library seeks a qualified librarian for its Head of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services position to begin as early as September 15, 2023. As a member of the library’s dynamic, collaborative Instructional Technology Services team, the librarian in this position has primary oversight for the Office of Legal Technology &amp; Instructional Services. This position leads the development and delivery of services supporting the integration of library resources into the curriculum, the curation and use of the library’s growing electronic resources collection, the use of scholarly communication technologies and services, and the undertaking of digital initiatives. As the subject specialist for legal pedagogy and technology competency, this position works to improve student success by embedding the library in online teaching and learning spaces, integrating librarians into the face-to-face curriculum, and supporting faculty adoption of technologies to achieve learning outcomes.
The Law Library supports the curricular and teaching requirements of the Law School, the research and publication needs of the law faculty, and the study and research needs of the law students; and provides to the scholarly community at large access to a research collection of material about the law and its history. Assistant/Associate Professor in Accounting

The Center for Research on Race and Ethnicity in Society (CRRES) at Indiana University, Bloomington, invites applications for up to two <a href="https://crres.indiana.edu/programs/postdoctoral-fellowships/index.html" target="_blank">CRRES Postdoctoral Fellowships</a>. These fellowships provide support to scholars studying race and ethnicity from a broad range of fields in the social sciences and humanities, including education, criminal justice, environmental studies, international studies (e.g., climate, human rights, and development), gender/sexualities, public health, and media (e.g., consumer culture, game design, film, social media activism, and sports media). We are particularly interested in candidates whose research intersects with African American and African Diaspora Studies, Native and Indigenous Studies, Latino Studies, Asian American Studies, African Studies, Latin American Studies, and/or Global Indigenous Studies. Fellows will be placed in one of IU’s <a href="https://www.indiana.edu/academics/schools.html" target="_blank">sixteen degree granting schools</a>, and are expected to pursue research activities associated with their primary area of work, as demonstrated by conference presentations and published works. Postdoctoral Fellowship

Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Theatre - Performance Studies, Theatre History/Historiography

The News &amp; Content unit of the University of Virginia’s <a href="https://communications.virginia.edu/" target="_blank">Office of Communications</a> seeks a Senior Editor to help us tell the dynamic story of UVA and to advance its strategic priorities through content that engages with and grows a multitude of audiences.
This position would be ideal for a seasoned, mature editor at a daily newspaper, magazine or online publication with significant deadline experience and a track record of working with writers to generate compelling stories and improve copy.
The Senior Editor, reporting to the UVA Today Managing Editor, will oversee several direct reports; edit copy for grammar, accuracy, and adherence to Associated Press and local style; and research and write stories as needed. The ideal candidate will be a sharp-eyed, detail-focused journalist who efficiently shepherds daily stories through the editing process while also taking the time to help writers improve their craft. He or she will be attuned to news and current events and be able to quickly identify opportunities to showcase UVA’s students, faculty and staff in the context of the day’s key stories and issues.
Our Content &amp; News team operates a high-quality newsroom that values timeliness and urgency in its content, and collaborates to produce one of higher education’s most successful news products, and the most important strategic communications platform at the University. The <a href="https://news.virginia.edu/" target="_blank">UVA Today</a> Daily Report is delivered Monday through Friday to more than 150,000 recipients, and our UVA Today content attracts more than &nbsp;5 million page views annually.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Edit daily stories for the University’s news outlets to ensure UVA Today’s writing is concise, compelling, and accurate.</li>
<li>Supervise and coach writers.</li>
<li>Assist in story planning so content aligns with and advances UVA’s strategic priorities.</li>
<li>Collaborate with University News &amp; Content colleagues to ensure that storylines selected for emphasis get maximum exposure through the platforms and products managed in University Communications, including social media, digital marketing, and paid content.</li>
<li>Foster productive working relationships with sources across Grounds for coordination, story mining and proactive media relations.</li>
<li>Track owned and earned media progress and measure success using metrics gathered by tools such as Google Data Studio, Parse.ly, etc.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Skills and Competencies:
<ul>
<li>Exceptional writing and editing skills.</li>
<li>Thorough understanding of AP Style.</li>
<li>Outstanding news judgment.</li>
<li>Ability to edit quickly and competently.</li>
<li>Ability to help writers translate complex, technical or scientific subject matter into clear language for broad audiences.</li>
<li>Ability to develop and execute earned-media strategies.</li>
<li>Ability to operate effectively in a deadline-driven communications environment.</li>
<li>Interest in and curiosity about current news and events.</li>
<li>Experience or familiarity with modern communications tools such as the Office suite, social media, and analytics tools.</li>
</ul>
Required education:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field.</li>
<li>At least five years of relevant professional experience.</li>
</ul>
Preferred experience:
<ul>
<li>Proven ability to collegially work with writers with different experience levels, from student writers to veteran wordsmiths.</li>
<li>At least five years writing and editing a daily news publication, or in a higher education, government agency, private or corporate environment.</li>
<li>Experience successfully pitching content for earned media coverage.</li>
</ul>
Anticipated Hiring Range: $85,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.

Senior Editor, UVA Today

Description The University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is seeking one (1) full-time pathologist for appointment to join our Hematopathology Division on the School of Medicine’s clinician-teacher pathway. The qualified candidate will become the Division Head of Hematopathology, CAP/CLIA director of the Hematopathology Laboratory and Quality Director of the Clinical Trials/Developmental Hematopathology subdivision. Clinical responsibilities will include reporting of morphology for lymph nodes, tissues, bloods and marrows, as well as flow cytometry (diagnostic and minimal residual disease testing) and may include molecular diagnostic testing, hemoglobin electrophoresis and coagulation reporting, depending on the interests of the candidate. Educational activities include teaching hematology / hematopathology to students, technologists, residents and fellows. &nbsp;Applicants are expected to be involved in administrative aspects of the lab, including new test development, and develop an area of focused research / scholarly work.
This appointment may be at the rank of Associate or full Professor, without tenure due to reasons of funding. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank.
The base salary range for this position will be: Associate Professors: $21,903 to $30,049 per month ($262,831 to $360,592 annually); Professors: $26,023 to $39,377 per month ($312,274 to $472,526 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.&nbsp;
Other compensation associated with this position may include an administrative salary supplement for administrative service as division head.&nbsp;
Associate and Full Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Position Description The University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is seeking one (1) full-time academic Anatomic Pathologist in Gastrointestinal (GI), Hepatic and Pancreatic Pathology. Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to, competence/expertise in a Pathology subspecialty. The selected candidate will be expected to work with medical students, residents and fellows working on GI pathology clinical services. Participation in autopsy service is expected.
