Assistant Professor of Chinese: Chinese Mandarin Language and Culture Instructor

The Michigan Society of Fellows was founded in 1970 through grants from the Ford Foundation and Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies for the purpose of promoting academic and creative excellence in the humanities, the arts, the social, physical, and life sciences, and in the professions. The objective of the Society is to provide financial and intellectual support for individuals holding advanced degrees in their fields, who are selected for their outstanding achievement, professional promise, and interdisciplinary interests.&nbsp;
Candidates should be near the beginning of their professional careers. Those selected for fellowships must have received the Ph.D. degree or comparable artistic or professional degree between June 1, 2021, and August 26, 2024. Fellows are appointed as Assistant Professors in appropriate departments and as Postdoctoral Scholars in the Michigan Society of Fellows. They are expected to be in residence in Ann Arbor during the academic years of the fellowship, to teach for the equivalent of one academic year, to participate in the informal intellectual life of the Society, and to devote time to their independent research or artistic projects. This is not an artist-in-residence program but rather an opportunity to develop one’s work in conversation with fellows from a range of disciplines during the three years of the fellowship. We seek a diverse and international pool of applicants and especially welcome candidates from underrepresented backgrounds. The College of Science is seeking a Program Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position. Working within a team, the Electronic Resources Librarian is responsible for the acquisition, receipt, maintenance, and renewal of electronic resources for the library. The Electronic Resources Librarian resolves electronic access problems, performs regular cleanup of data, and maintains records related to the library’s e-resources. Reporting to the Senior Electronic Resources Librarian, the Electronic Resources Librarian routinely interacts with cataloging staff, collection development staff, vendors, and publishers. Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Theatre - Performance Studies, Theatre History/Historiography

Founded in 2022, the Department of Race, Diaspora, and Indigeneity (RDI) is home to an interdisciplinary group of scholars whose work engages the conceptual pillars of the unit. RDI is housed in the Social Sciences at the University but is committed to working across the social sciences, humanities, sciences, professional schools, and the arts to build a truly interdisciplinary, outward-facing department. RDI values community-engaged and informed work. We currently offer a robust undergraduate curriculum (including a major and a minor) and are preparing to launch a doctoral certificate. We plan to have PhD program in place within five years. The University has made a deep commitment to the Department that includes authorization to search for thirteen tenure-track colleagues over the next several years.
The Cluster Hire in Indigenous Studies
The Department of Race, Diaspora, and Indigeneity at the University of Chicago invites applications for a cluster hire of Assistant/Associate/Full professors whose research and teaching focus is Indigenous Studies.
