KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR PRINCIPAL ENGINEER:
Our Reliability department has a dynamic opening for a Senior Principal Engineer. The incumbent will provide technical leadership on electric power industry reliability planning and operations issues, including those matters related to the development of mandatory reliability standards by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), as regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) under the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
<ul>
<li>Provide subject matter expertise to EEI and its members related to transmission and distribution questions.</li>
<li>Plan, organize, and lead technical discussions with EEI’s Reliability Technical Committee. Responsibilities include establishing an agenda of key NERC and industry reliability and resilience issues, identifying and coordinating with subject matter experts to participate in the discussion, and meeting facilitation.</li>
<li>Perform analytical evaluations and draft comments on NERC Reliability Standards, reliability guidelines, technical documents and other reliability and resilience related documents and activities, drive member consensus positions, and ensure timely submittal of EEI comments.</li>
<li>Provide technical support and assist in the development of EEI comments for FERC and DOE rulemakings and proceedings.</li>
<li>Proactively engage in reliability and resilience activities with NERC, FERC, and other organizations to identify potential concerns with direction early on and identify solutions to address risks to the electric grid.</li>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.</li>
<li>10 years of relevant experience in the electric power industry with a focus on grid planning, operations, or reliability.</li>
<li>Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.</li>
<li>Understanding of transmission and distribution system operations or engineering/planning of the bulk-power system.</li>
<li>Knowledge of the NERC industry standard development process.</li>
<li>Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse sets of internal and external stakeholders to build consensus.</li>
<li>Must be able to manage time effectively, prioritize workload, and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communications skills.</li>
<li>Strong research and fact-finding skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) required.</li>

Compensation

Clinical Duties

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works within a clinic as part of a collaborative team, which may include Family Practice and/or Internal Medicine Physicians, RN Case Managers, and clinic staff. This team operates under a comprehensive, coordinated care model to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
 
The APP primarily manages the patient population in collaboration with the primary care physician and/or specialist. Depending on the group's needs, the APP may provide care in outpatient and/or inpatient settings, though most positions are outpatient unless otherwise specified. Acting as an extension of the primary care physician, the APP delivers both chronic and acute care services to patients.
 
Performance metrics tied to the organization’s strategic goals and operational requirements will be used to monitor and evaluate the APP's effectiveness and outcomes.

Requirements:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers patient care in accordance with their licensure and certification.
 
<ul>
<li>Diagnoses and manages both acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, and other chronic illnesses, as well as minor injuries and acute medical issues such as infections or exacerbations of chronic diseases.</li>
<li>Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, including lab work, x-rays, and EKGs.</li>
<li>Prescribes medications and other treatments as necessary to address identified conditions.</li>
<li>Educates patients about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and expected outcomes to ensure they are well-informed and engaged in their care.</li>
<li>Collaborates as part of a comprehensive, multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, evidence-based care.</li>
<li>Performs additional duties as assigned to support patient care and organizational goals.</li>
</ul>
 
Minimum Required Education, Experience &amp; Skills
<ul>
<li>Graduate credit for PA/NP Program</li>
<li>Current Licensure through the Georgia Board</li>
<li>Current prescriptive authority from the Georgia Board</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds</li>
<li>Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 50 pounds of force</li>
<li>Ability to sit for extended periods of time</li>
<li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time</li>
<li>Ability to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or machinery</li>
<li>Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing</li>
<li>Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving</li>
<li>Ability to travel to multiple locations to support business needs as required</li>
