The Strategic Account Executive – GEMS is responsible for driving revenue growth and long-term relationships within the Government, Education, Medical, and Strategic sectors. This outside sales role focuses on high-value, complex telecommunications solutions, including voice, data, cloud, and managed services, tailored to the unique needs of public and institutional clients. This role will also develop and execute account strategies for assigned existing customers to ensure Astound is delivering an exceptional customer experience in terms of network, service offerings, billing and care.
Responsibilities include:
Account Strategy &amp; Growth:
<ul>
<li>Develop and execute strategic account plans for key GEMS clients. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services tailored to each vertical.</li>
<li>Proactively call assigned customers to coordinate periodic business reviews as defined by customer.</li>
</ul>
Client Engagement:
<ul>
<li>Build strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers, procurement teams, and technical stakeholders. Act as the single point of contact for assigned accounts.</li>
<li>Actively manage upcoming contract expirations and track/report renewal success rate.</li>
<li>Serve as the primary contact and key point of escalation for post-sale issues that arise and own communication to customer through final resolution.</li>

Solution Selling:
<ul>
<li>Consultatively sell complex solutions including fiber, wireless, IP networking, VoIP, unified communications, security, and cloud services.</li>
</ul>
Proposal &amp; Contract Management:
<ul>
<li>Lead the RFP/RFI process, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals. Negotiate contracts in alignment with client requirements and company policy.</li>
<li>Review existing contracted services and ensure customer has copies of contracts, circuit ID’s and key personnel contact information for support departments within Astound (NOC, Billing and Care)</li>
</ul>
Market Intelligence:
<ul>
<li>Stay informed on GEMS sector trends, procurement cycles, funding mechanisms (e.g., E-Rate, government grants), and compliance requirements.</li>
</ul>
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
<ul>
<li>Engage internal stakeholders and collaborate with sales representative to assist as needed for installation updates and general customer follow up.</li>
<li>Provide periodic updates to leadership detailing best practice on customer experience initiatives needed to guarantee positive outcome for customer and Astound.</li>

Revenue Targets:
<ul>
<li>Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, including new revenue, renewals, and retention KPIs.</li>
<li>Quarterly and/or periodic travel within footprint for customer meetings.</li>

Required Qualifications:
Education:

Experience:

<li>Minimum 8 year track record of success selling to large business with technical solution.</li>
<li>5+ years’ experience in systems selling, consultative sales techniques, and account planning including account profiling, account positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long range account management strategies.</li>

What‘s Expected of You
As a Trust Officer, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of trust administration, ensuring clients receive thoughtful, accurate, and timely service. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for grantors, beneficiaries, and professional partners, helping to carry out the intent of each trust while supporting the bank’s mission and reputation for excellence.

<li>Administer trust accounts from opening through termination, including communication with beneficiaries and professional partners.</li>
<li>Evaluate trust requests and execute actions within the terms of governing documents.</li>
<li>Prepare discretionary disbursement requests and materials for administrative review and approval.</li>
<li>Facilitate payments, expenses, and distributions according to trust conditions.</li>
<li>Prepare and deliver reports and financial accountings for grantors, beneficiaries, and/or courts.</li>
<li>Oversee or coordinate preparation and payment of applicable state and federal trust taxes.</li>
<li>Present new account acceptances and account closures to the Trust Committee in accordance with regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Participate in the Trust Management Team’s weekly meetings.</li>
<li>Promote the bank’s trust services to clients, community members, and business associates.</li>
<li>Partner with third-party investment and tax advisory services to ensure best-in-class client outcomes.</li>
<li>Participate in community events to enhance the bank’s presence and image.</li>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years of experience in a bank trust department or law firm specializing in Trust &amp; Estate work.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and trust-related software.</li>
<li>Proven ability to work with tact, diplomacy, and discretion in client-facing interactions.</li>
<li>Commitment to providing exceptional client service, both internally and externally.</li>

Compensation &amp; Benefits
As required by local law, Highland Consulting Group believes $78,000–$82,000 to be a reasonable starting base compensation for this role, for individuals hired into positions in geographies that require salary range disclosure. This individual may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
