Position: Electronics Repair Engineer
Nature of Role: Provide support with electronics evaluation and repair and In-Service Engineering support for Naval Electronics Systems in Fall River MA and Newport RI. The qualified candidate will perform multi-faceted tasking with emphasis on electronics evaluation/testing/repair, and US Naval fleet support.

Responsibilities: 
include but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Receive, process and track electronic assemblies from US Naval sources</li>
<li>Inspect, Evaluate, Troubleshoot and Repair electronic assemblies, at the component level, in accordance with US NAVY and local work instructions</li>
<li>Develop/Update Technical Data Packages for conducting evaluations and repairs</li>
<li>Develop/Update local work instructions for conducting evaluations and repairs</li>
<li>Conduct receipt inspection of materials and parts</li>
<li>Maintain and conduct audits on, material and repair parts inventories</li>
<li>Perform research and purchases of repair parts</li>
<li>Maintain proprietary laboratory test units and systems to ensure all testing devices are in proper operating condition and ready for immediate use</li>
<li>Prepare/Maintain reports and written laboratory procedures to reflect the current and up-to-date standards and practices</li>
<li>Provide In-Service Engineering Support to US Naval Ships and Submarines</li>
<li>Develop relationships with Government customers and source new work</li>

Requirements:

<li>Ability to Obtain/maintain SECRET Clearance.</li>

Saab Inc., Autonomous and Undersea Systems division is seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Staff Electrical Engineer to support our growing team working on Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). This position spans many Electrical Engineering topics and is the perfect position for anyone looking at a wide array of design challenges. Our AUVs, UUVs, and ROVs span AC power (shore and charging equipment), DC power (battery systems and conversion), sensor integration, and electromechanical (propulsion, motors, servos, actuators) integration. This is a hands-on position with the chance to build, test, and integrate the designs you work on. This position will be remote or hybrid to start, but will ultimately be based out of our new Bristol, RI facility that is opening in early 2026.

An Electrical Engineering position for anyone interested in leading, designing, developing, and/or modifying AC, DC, linear, analog, digital, acoustic, or sensor designs in subsea applications. This person will lead design approaches and parameters. They will analyze operating data, develop and conduct tests, and draw conclusions or make design decisions based on results. They will be responsible for selecting components and equipment based on requirements, specifications, and reliability.
