Camera Installer / Field Service Technician I

Job Description
The role of the Regional VisionNav AGV Technician is to proactively perform quality maintenance and repairs as scheduled on a route within their assigned Region, communicate and follow-up with our customers as well as their management team, schedule return visits to make follow-up repairs or resolve unplanned service events, and overall to ensure the equipment remains in service and our customers are informed. Technical aspects that involve the guidance system will require the AGV Technician to work and train with the Engineering Team for onsite resolution. The AGV Technician will not be responsible for calibrations and programming changes to the guidance system. The AGV Technician will assist in the remote resolution with issues involved concerning programming, software updates, and guidance system concerns. The AGV Technician will be responsible for doing everything possible to maintain equipment uptime to keep the equipment in service and will act as a liaison with the Engineering Team to ensure customer equipment uptime is achieved. New hires will be trained at our Corporate off in Lawrenceville, GA. Once the training is completed, our Technicians will be deployed to their assigned Region on a scheduled route. Ongoing training and support will be provided as required.

Job Responsibilities
1. Maintenance &amp; Repairs
· Perform PM’s per the company provided AGV PM Checklist (e.g., oil changes, multiple adjustments required, battery inspections, etc.)

<li>Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Electrical repairs would exclude programming involved with the guidance system. Bolt-on parts and calibrations would be performed by the Technician (training will be provided). An Engineer will work with the Technician from a programming standpoint where required</li>
<li>Replace worn and faulty components (e.g., motors, brake assemblies, wheels and tires, etc.)</li>
<li>Maintain records of maintenance, service, and repairs performed</li>
<li>Work with the Engineering Team to learn the Guidance System and under what conditions you will need to collaborate with Engineering to remotely perform programming pertaining to the Guidance System as required</li>
</ul>
2. Inspections
<ul>
<li>Conduct daily/weekly/Monthly AGV inspection checklist and safety checks per OSHA and/or VisionNav OEM guidelines</li>
<li>Proactively identify potential issues before they lead to equipment failure. The quality of the PM is the foundation to drive out reactive repairs and issues for all stakeholders</li>
<li>High Quality workmanship and work ethic with attention to detail ensures VisionNav equipment meet safety and operational standards</li>

3. Electrical &amp; Hydraulic Systems
<ul>
<li>Inspect and service electric componentry (wiring harnesses, connectors, etc.), batteries and connectors, amplifiers and controller connections, contactors, etc.</li>
<li>Test and repair hydraulic systems, hoses, pumps, fittings, etc.</li>
<li>Use diagnostic tools and software to ensure optimal performance</li>
</ul>
4. Tools &amp; Equipment Use

Kanawha Scales &amp; Systems an American Equipment Division has evolved from simply a scale service company to a premier provider of weighing and total industrial control solutions. We currently operate 19 offices in the eastern, mid-western, and southern United States. With more than 200 employees, we have the collective knowledge and expertise to not only service all brands of scale equipment, but to develop fully customized applications to suit all weighing and measuring needs.
 
We are seeking a Scale Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and reliable operation of various types of scales used in industrial and commercial settings. Your responsibilities will include installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of scales to guarantee precise measurements, compliance with industry standards, and customer satisfaction.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Scale Installation- Properly install and set up various types of scales, including industrial, laboratory, and commercial scales, according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.</li>
<li>Calibration- Perform calibration procedures to ensure that scales provide accurate measurements. Adjust calibration settings as needed to meet precision requirements.</li>
<li>Maintenance and Repair- Conduct routine maintenance on scales to prevent malfunctions and extend their lifespan. Diagnose and repair scale issues promptly to minimize downtime.</li>
<li>Inspection- Inspect scales for wear, damage, and functionality. Identify and address issues related to load cells, display units, and other components.</li>
<li>Documentation- Maintain detailed records of service and calibration activities, including calibration certificates, service reports, and parts used. Ensure all work is well-documented and compliant with industry regulations.</li>
<li>Customer Interaction- Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner. Discuss service requirements, provide estimates, and address any concerns or questions related to scale operation.</li>
<li>Safety Compliance- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure working environment. Prioritize safety when working with heavy equipment and electrical components.</li>
<li>Quality Assurance- Ensure that serviced scales meet all quality and regulatory standards. Verify that scales are suitable for their intended applications.</li>
<li>Inventory Management- Keep track of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for scale service and maintenance. Replenish supplies as necessary.</li>
<li>Training- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in scale technology and industry best practices. Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.</li>
</ul>
Skills and Knowledge:
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in scale installation, calibration, and repair.</li>
<li>Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.</li>
<li>Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to scales (e.g., ISO 9001, NIST Handbook 44).</li>
<li>Proficiency in using calibration and measurement equipment.</li>
<li>Strong communication and customer service skills.</li>
<li>Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects (50 pounds) and work in various environmental conditions.</li>
<li>Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record. Class B (or A) Commercial Drivers License a plus.</li>
<li>AC/DC, MIG Welding a Plus.</li>
</ul>
Education:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics, instrumentation, or a related field is preferred.</li>
<li>2-3 years' experience in the industry preferred</li>

Position Overview: LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Customer Service Technician to support our advanced power distribution equipment. This role involves both on-site and remote service, ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting abilities, a commitment to safety, and a customer-first mindset.
 
Key Responsibilities:

<li>Perform startup, commissioning, service, and preventive maintenance on LayerZero equipment, including:

<li>Static transfer switches</li>
<li>Power distribution units</li>
<li>Remote power panels</li>
