Job Description
As a GIS student intern with our Applied Technology team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You'll get an introduction to Olsson's culture that will help you evaluate our firm as a career choice and be part of a team working with a variety of programs, including but not limited to Esri and Autodesk products. You will work with technology experts to support internal GIS users by compiling data from external sources and assisting with GIS processes. We are looking for a student intern to start in May and work 40 hours per week during the summer, with the potential to continue working into the school year. This includes installations, maintenance repairs, and preventative maintenance. The Field Service Technician also acts as the face of Quench, providing a positive customer service experience during site visits. The Field Service Technician reports to the Field Service Manager and will operate a company vehicle. We provide a hands-on training process upon hire. &nbsp; A typical schedule for a Field Service Technician is Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM. <li>Must have good verbal and written&nbsp;skills&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to learn the internal workings and repair approaches to repairing water&nbsp;coolers&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast pace environment where quantity and quality go hand in&nbsp;hand&nbsp;</li>
<li>A clean work record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug&nbsp;screen&nbsp;</li>
<li>Physical requirements include ability to bend, squat, walk with heavy equipment, climb ladders, and lift 70+&nbsp;pounds&nbsp;</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license&nbsp;</li>

Job DescriptionA. Purpose and Scope The Field Technician (FT) is responsible for making sure all equipment in the field is installed and maintained correctly at each customer’s site; also, responsible for good customer service relations including but not limited to consistent and clear communication with the client, proper follow-up, and providing solutions to ensure customer satisfaction. &nbsp; B. Responsibilities The following list outlines the general responsibilities of the role: • Install temperature monitoring devices and products • Calibrate and maintain installed equipment • Develop test procedures and fixturing as required • Maintain field records and perform installation/operational/ and performance Qualifications with correct information documented in database • Comply with quality systems procedures as required • Answer emergency service situations After receiving the proper training, the Field Technician will go on call and answer Emergency Service Situations. &nbsp; C. Organization Relationships The Field Technician reports to the National Service Director. &nbsp; JOB REQUIREMENTS: &nbsp; A. Education and Training The Field Technician should have a two-year technical degree, or equivalent experience as determined by the National Service Director. &nbsp; B. Technical Requirements The Field Technician is required to complete supervised in-house training as well as read and understand any pertinent training or department procedure manual.
