Healthy Kids Programs is seeking an experienced and motivated Program Site Director to oversee our Before and After School Program for the 2025–2026 school year. In this role, you will lead daily operations at a Healthy Kids Program site, ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for students, families, and staff.

JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Elsinboro Elementary School in Salem, NJ
PAY: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 6:50-8:20 AM and 2:50-6:00 PM
 
POSITION SUMMARY The Program Site Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Before/After School and Summer Camp programs at a single site. This role ensures high-quality programming, regulatory compliance, strong staff leadership, and positive relationships with families, school partners, and internal teams.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Recruit, supervise, train, and develop a high-performing site team.</li>
<li>Oversee daily operations in compliance with New Jersey State childcare, before/after school, and summer camp regulations.</li>
<li>Implement Healthy Kids Best Practices and Curriculum aligned with the “Consistent Excellence” philosophy.</li>
<li>Maintain a warm, safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for students.</li>
<li>Promote proactive classroom management and positive problem-solving strategies.</li>
<li>Communicate professionally and consistently with parents, staff, and partners.</li>
<li>Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and support professional growth.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Regional and Executive leadership to strengthen site operations.</li>
<li>Attend leadership meetings (virtual and in person, as required).</li>
<li>Communicate organizational policies, priorities, and budget expectations to staff.</li>
<li>Manage site staffing and payroll efficiently.</li>
<li>Partner with Registration to ensure all required student documentation is complete.</li>
<li>Coordinate with Marketing to provide accurate program information for web and social media.</li>
<li>Maintain strong relationships with school administrators, custodial staff, DCF, and Childcare Councils.</li>
<li>Support enrollment growth and assist with new program launches as opportunities arise.</li>
<li>Serve as a liaison between families, staff, and internal departments.</li>
<li>Enforce the company’s Code of Conduct, policies, procedures, and all state guidelines.</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Knowledge of New Jersey State Child Care licensing regulations preferred; ability to quickly learn and apply requirements.</li>
<li>Five (5) years of professional experience working with children ages 5–13.</li>
<li>Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in a child care, education, or youth-serving organization.</li>
<li>Experience supervising staff, managing performance, and supporting consistent program operations.</li>
<li>Strong administrative and organizational skills in a service-oriented environment.</li>
<li>Experience using registration, enrollment, and attendance management systems.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).</li>
<li>Excellent customer service and parent engagement skills.</li>
<li>Proven ability to build, mentor, and retain strong teams.</li>
<li>Understanding of staffing models, payroll management, and operational expenses.</li>
<li>Ability to pass all required background checks in accordance with NJ state requirements.</li>
<li>Must meet all NJ DCF health requirements and be able to perform essential job functions.</li>
<li>Professional, reliable, organized, and confident with a warm leadership presence.</li>
<li>Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.</li>
