Our learning centers are open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. We have locations across Rhode Island. We have full time positions or part time positions (with flexible schedules available). Benefits vary for full time / part time positions.
 
Requirements:

Education Requirements 
<ul>
<li>High school diploma (or equivalent) or higher. </li>
<li>CPR/First Aid certification preferred. </li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements 
<ul>
<li>Able to engage in physical exercise with children (walking, running, crawling, bending, twisting).</li>
<li>Visual and hearing acuity. </li>
<li>Able to lift up to 40 pounds. </li>
</ul>
Other Qualifications 
<ul>
<li>18 years of age or older (Teen Aide positions are available for applicants 16-18 years of age). </li>
<li>Able to read, write, speak and understand English, bilingual encouraged to apply. </li>
<li>Must pass national criminal background/fingerprints check. </li>
<li>Must pass Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Clearance Request (CPS). </li>

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring staff for our Before and After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year.
 
JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
LOCATION: Candlewood Elementary School in Brookfield, NY
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Childcare Program Staff
PAY: $16.94 per hour
HOURS: 7:00 - 8:50 am and 3:35 - 5:00 pm
 
The Before and After School Program team is responsible for:
<ul>
<li>Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework assistance.</li>
<li>Providing a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.</li>
<li>Reporting to the program ready to work at designated times and be prepared to stay until the last child leaves the program.</li>
<li>Communicating daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.</li>
<li>Observing and following state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.</li>
<li>Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.</li>
<li>Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.</li>
<li>Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.</li>
<li>Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.</li>
</ul>
