Under the general supervision of department leadership, the Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for processing referrals, scheduling patients, and completing all front-end financial clearance functions. The Coordinator also assists self-pay and underinsured patients by screening for financial assistance or other applicable programs.ntly.

Overview of Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

<li>Prior experience in scheduling, insurance verification, authorizations, and/or financial counseling strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Understanding of patient access best practices, eligibility requirements, payer rules, and pre-service financial workflows.</li>
<li>Experience reviewing insurance benefits and determining patient responsibility.</li>
<li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.</li>

<li>Develop Individualized Educational Plans to report and document student’s developmental progress (cognitive, emotional, social and physical).</li>
<li>Use effective instructional strategies to meet the academic needs of the students.</li>
<li>Provide a vocational course and curriculum in a subject area approved by program director or designee which introduces youth to career choices.</li>
<li>Maintain a record of student’s academic progress (grade book) for the development of report cards.</li>
<li>Meet departmental and program deadlines to ensure contractual compliance with reporting requirements.</li>

Other Functions

<li>Attend all organizational required trainings.</li>
