The Enrollment Admissions Recruiter for NHP will recruit and support enrollment goals for new student growth among undergraduate and graduate students. This position will report to the Director of Admissions for NHP, and will work collaboratively with Deans and the Associate Vice President of Admissions for Graduate &amp; Professional Schools.

Primary Responsibilities:

SUMMARY
The Master Teacher supervises assigned staff, works cooperatively as a member of a classroom team to deliver high-quality services for all children and families, and is responsible for the care and education of a group of children as part of the teaching team.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

<li>A bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field with an emphasis on Early Childhood essential topics</li>
<li>Experience teaching preschool-aged children.</li>
<li>Must complete and maintain a CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire</li>
<li>Must complete and maintain a Food Handler Permit within 60 days of hire</li>
</ul>
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

<li>Two years of related experience</li>
<li>Previous Head Start experience</li>
<li>Bilingual in languages spoken by families served by UCA</li>
<li>Valid driver's license</li>

The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm.

We are an intentionally small middle school (grades 6-8) with a max enrollment of 175 students total and two teachers in every classroom. Our community is a village focused on the interests, needs, and ambitions of each individual learner so that all learners can grow.

The Fitness / Health Teacher Role
Capital Village teachers will be part of a team working together to create a new kind of learning environment for students. As an EL Education school, our teachers will engage students in meaningful, authentic, and productive work that allows them to demonstrate mastery of rigorous learning targets. Teachers will have the following primary responsibilities:
Instruction &amp; Assessment:
<ul>
<li>Deliver quality fitness and health&nbsp;instruction to students in grades 6-8.</li>
<li>Plan and implement dynamic, station-based activities that are safe, fun, and instructional for groups of 8-10 students.</li>
<li>Work within an interdisciplinary team to plan fitness challenges and initiatives.</li>
<li>Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress using multiple tools including anecdotal records, performance assessments with rubrics, and fitness challenges.</li>
<li>Use student data to drive instructional decision-making and to collaborate with students to regularly communicate student growth, needs, and performance.</li>
<li>Understand the needs and goals of students with disabilities (IEP or 504 plans) and English Language Learners (ELLs); differentiate instruction and provide accommodations and supports as needed.</li>
<li>Proactively and consistently communicate with individual parents/guardians via meetings, phone calls, or email.</li>
<li>Design and implement comprehensive fitness programs that promote physical health, teamwork, and personal growth.</li>
</ul>

Abilities, Knowledge, and Mindset You Bring to Capital Village:

<li>Associate’s degree or 30+ college credits required.</li>
<li>Experience teaching fitness required.</li>
<li>CPR &amp; First Aid certification preferred.</li>
