Research Contract Grant Specialist

The Michigan Society of Fellows was founded in 1970 through grants from the Ford Foundation and Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies for the purpose of promoting academic and creative excellence in the humanities, the arts, the social, physical, and life sciences, and in the professions. The objective of the Society is to provide financial and intellectual support for individuals holding advanced degrees in their fields, who are selected for their outstanding achievement, professional promise, and interdisciplinary interests.&nbsp;
Candidates should be near the beginning of their professional careers. Those selected for fellowships must have received the Ph.D. degree or comparable artistic or professional degree between June 1, 2021, and August 26, 2024. Fellows are appointed as Assistant Professors in appropriate departments and as Postdoctoral Scholars in the Michigan Society of Fellows. They are expected to be in residence in Ann Arbor during the academic years of the fellowship, to teach for the equivalent of one academic year, to participate in the informal intellectual life of the Society, and to devote time to their independent research or artistic projects. This is not an artist-in-residence program but rather an opportunity to develop one’s work in conversation with fellows from a range of disciplines during the three years of the fellowship. Assistant Professor/Postdoctoral Research Fellow 

The Assistant Director (AD) for Residential Education reports to the Associate Director for Residential Education and is responsible for oversight and leadership of 2-4 residentially-based Learning Communities (LCs) that house between 1300 to 1900 students (roughly one-third of the on-campus population). The responsibilities of this position include training, supervision, development, and evaluation of 2-3 frontline full-time professional staff members (including Area Coordinators and/or Residence Directors) and 1 Graduate Coordinator. As a member of the Residential Education Leadership Team, the AD is responsible for overseeing the administrative and management functions of their Campus Area, as well as assisting in the development of policies and procedures for the department. The AD supports the ACs/RD to establish Learning Communities that foster community and civic engagement, enhance learning, advance diversity and inclusion, and promote student health, engagement, and success. This is a required live-on position.&nbsp; Successful candidates will be subject to background check due to the live-in nature of this position. Assistant Professor - Education

The Department of Public Administration, in the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) at North Carolina State University (NC State), invites applications from highly-qualified candidates for two (2) tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 2024. We seek applicants from a variety of fields within Public Administration, Public Policy, Public Affairs, or related social science disciplines whose research and teaching interests represent expertise in Nonprofits, State and Local Government, or Science and Technology Policy, with a preference for candidates who demonstrate some degree of overlap among areas and applicants engaging in rigorous and innovative research methodologies. &nbsp; Teaching responsibilities for both tenure-track positions will include graduate-level courses related to core offerings in the program and electives related to the areas of particular expertise of the selected candidate. The expected teaching load is two courses per semester (2-2 load), with the option of summer teaching. The successful candidate will also advise and mentor graduate students, which includes service on doctoral student committees. The MPA program’s mission serves pre- and in-service students, with most courses offered face-to-face in the evenings, although hybrid and online courses are also available. Ph.D. seminars are cohort-based and delivered on campus. Assistant Professor of Public Administration

Kent State University Libraries seeks a collaborative and forward-thinking librarian&nbsp;to join our Student and Research Success team as our Social Sciences and Assessment Librarian. Social Sciences and Assessment Librarian

The Management and Organization (MOR) Department at the USC-Marshall School of Business seeks to hire new tenure-track faculty members in organizational behavior to begin in Fall 2024.
