The Plant EHS Manager is empowered to eliminate accidents, injuries, and property loss through effective problem solving and management of countermeasures. EHS Manager Specific Responsibilities:

<li>Develop and implement actions to facilitate a strong safety culture through skilled support and employee engagement</li>
<li>Provide input and subject matter expertise on strategic processes, tools, and techniques to enhance overall safety performance</li>
<li>Collaborate with facility management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement</li>
<li>Routinely inspecting the facility, machinery, workstations, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards while ensuring safety regulation compliance</li>
<li>Routinely monitor the workforce to ensure safe behaviors and providing coaching for improvement</li>
<li>Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard management systems, policies, and procedures with recommended changes that reflect opportunities to eliminate workplace injuries</li>
<li>Conduct inspections and assessments to evaluate the facility's compliance with all federal, state, local and company standards</li>
<li>Support local regulatory compliance to include, but not limited to: SWPPP, SPCC, EPCRA, and RCRA</li>
<li>Support all audits and inspections and development of corrective measures</li>
<li>Develop and deliver required training for safety and environmental programs</li>
<li>Lead facility incident investigations, analyze and review near-misses and accidents to ensure proper corrective and preventative measures have been implemented</li>
<li>Analyze/interpret facility safety metrics to proactively target and eliminate injuries, reduce injury rates and achieve positive outcomes through development and execution of corrective actions and strategic plans</li>
<li>Drive processes within the plant, including JHA, PPE and assessments, behavioral based safety observations and ergonomics</li>
<li>Prepare, maintain, and submit environmental records and reports required by the company and regulatory agencies</li>
<li>Compile, analyze, and communicate metrics and KPIs via monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting</li>
<li>Oversee and lead shift safety coordinators, ERT/First Responder Team, Haz Response Teams, and Safety Committee</li>
<li>Study ergonomic issues and recommend corrective actions</li>
</ul>
 
EHS Manager Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor Degree required in EHS discipline or related science or engineering with eight (8) or more years experience in a manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>Preferred ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, or progress to completing similar certifications.</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations at local, state, and federal levels.</li>
<li>Proven ability to be proactively facilitate change through education and training.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.</li>
<li>Problem analysis and problem resolution with an understanding of root cause investigative process.</li>

<li>Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal &amp; State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines as directed by the LPN/LVN/RN and/or the Assisted Living Director/Health and Wellness Director.</li>
<li>Count and sign on approved form, all narcotics with approved personnel before accepting medication keys. &nbsp;Contact a supervisor immediately with discrepancies.</li>
<li>Order all necessary medication and treatments from appropriate pharmacy or notify responsible party when supply is no less than 7 days.</li>
<li>Notify supervisor when supply is less than 2 days and medicine hasn’t been received.</li>
<li>Responsible for receiving and verifying all medicine received is accurate according to pharmacy label and MAR. &nbsp;Notifies pharmacy and DH&amp;W of any discrepancies.</li>
<li>Responsible for proper storage of all medications and ensuring all lotions, ointments and liquids stored separately from oral medications.</li>
<li>Responsible for dating all appropriate vials or bottles at time of initial opening and following pharmacy protocol on length of time they can be used.</li>
