<li>Responsible to avoid food waste when possible.</li>
<li>Labels food and checks product shelf life to avoid food born illness.</li>
<li>Reports observations concerning structural and equipment wear, defects and malfunctioning to supervisor.</li>
<li>Handles food in accordance with sanitary regulations.</li>
<li>Responsible for meeting Federal and State sanitation, food storage and food quality requirements.</li>
<li>Responsible to keep the working area clean, orderly, safe and in good working order.</li>

Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities

<li>The physician serves as medical director for skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and participates in administrative and quality initiatives for the facilities he or she is responsible for;</li>
<li>Medical directorship functions include attending and participating in monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings; participating in quality improvement initiatives; providing guidance to facility staff; reviewing and revising (if necessary) facility's clinical guidelines; insuring compliance with state and federal regulations, training facility staff; and supervising facility clinical staff.</li>
<li>In addition to the medical director role, the physician also serves as the attending physician for the residents residing at each facility;</li>
<li>The physician collaborates with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day to day resident care at each facility. Typically, each facility will have a full-time PA or NP assigned to the facility depending on the acuity and volume of the patient population;</li>
<li>Physician will provide high quality, patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services by rounding on patients residing in SNFs;</li>
<li>Physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with acute illness, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes</li>
<li>Provider documentation is completed in Theoria's proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system, ChartEasy™</li>
<li>PointClickCare, MatrixCare, and American HealthTech are the most commonly used facility EHR systems</li>

Shift Structure

<li>Performing light repair work such as changing light bulbs, replacing batteries and oxygen tanks. Repairing small items such as wheel chairs and call lights</li>
<li>Inspecting equipment for signs of wear and tear or damage and reporting issues to supervisors</li>
<li> Prepare for upcoming move-ins (painting and general maintenance of resident/patient rooms)</li>
<li>Performs maintenance tasks as necessary including equipment repair, electrical, plumbing, snow removal, painting, etc. </li>
<li>Works with hand tools (hammers, saws, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.).</li>
<li>Lifting and moving a variety of equipment (beds, chairs, desks, filing cabinets and other equipment as needed).</li>

Working Conditions:
Nursing home setting. 
When required sometimes in confined spaces and at heights from a ladder. Dirt and dust are common in mechanical rooms requiring a mask at times. Working around machinery and electricity are potential hazards.
Qualifications:
Must have a genuine interest in maintaining the facility to assure good quality of life for our residents. Outgoing and positive attitude. Ability to comprehend instructions, organize time and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to adapt to frequent changes in routine. Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
Experience: One year of related experience is preferred but not required. 
Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Must have a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. Prolonged standing or walking. Walks, bends, lifts, carries, climbs stairs, pushes and pulls various equipment throughout the work day.
