Job Summary: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailer, diagnosing and fixing issues related to brakes, tires, steering, suspension, and other trailer systems.
Essential Functions
<ul>
<li>Troubleshoot and diagnose needed repairs based customer concerns. Provide estimates for repairs to customers. With approval, complete repairs.</li>
<li>Perform routine maintenance checks and preventative maintenance on brakes, tires, steering, suspension, and other mechanical and electrical systems.</li>
<li>Install accessories and make upgrades or modifications on new and used trailers.</li>
<li>Ensure trailers meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Pointing out concerns to customers, recommending needed repairs.</li>
<li>Address customer concerns, provide service updates, and work with customer to resolve concerns.</li>
<li>Accurately complete work orders, test trailers – pulling behind a vehicle when necessary – for accuracy of the completed repair document repairs and maintain records of service performed. </li>
<li>Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements while performing work.</li>
<li>Unload freight trucks for trailer and parts deliveries.</li>
<li>Assemble, test, and wash trailers as they arrive.</li>
<li>Assist other service technicians as needed.</li>
