HiFyve is hiring a 1st Shift Maintenance Mechanic for a manufacturing facility!
Salary: $27.00/hour
Shift Options:
1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Little Canada, MN 55117
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on production machinery and equipment.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
Complete preventative maintenance and fabrication projects.
Diagnose equipment issues and identify root causes to minimize downtime.
Support continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing process.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
Work collaboratively with production teams across all business units.
Perform equipment installation, setup, maintenance, and repair activities.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Perform metalworking, mechanical repairs, and basic machining tasks.
Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before failures occur.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment concerns.
Support production operations by responding to equipment issues and minimizing downtime.
Education & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred.
Plastics industry experience is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with metalworking, mechanical systems, and basic machining.
Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical experience preferred.
Basic computer skills are helpful.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to diagnose equipment problems and identify root causes.
Ability to perform electrical and mechanical repairs.
Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and maintenance procedures.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to prioritize tasks and complete work efficiently.
Ability to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to communicate effectively with Production and Maintenance teams.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, crouching, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials.
Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
Ability to work around production machinery, noise, and continuous manufacturing activity.
Ability to perform repairs and maintenance tasks in various positions.
Ability to safely handle equipment components and materials.
Ability to work overtime as needed based on production requirements.
