<li>Greeting all service customers in a friendly and courteous manner</li>
<li>Running and maintaining alignment and battery check in the Service Drive</li>
<li>Keeping vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed by the service manager and advisors in accordance with dealership display standards</li>
<li>Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed</li>
<li>Assisting with customer pickups, pulling around vehicles</li>
<li>Washing Rental and Loaner vehicles during down time</li>
<li>Assisting with weather related clean up when necessary</li>
<li>Building and grounds maintenance as needed</li>
<li>Taking out trash, cardboard, scrap metal and cleaning Service Shop</li>
<li>Other functions and special projects may be assigned by management</li>

What are the requirements for this job?
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Ability to drive manual transmission</li>
<li>Valid state driver's license</li>
<li>Ability to pass a background and drug test once a conditional offer of employment is received</li>

A Diesel Technician specializes in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This role is essential in industries like trucking, construction, and agriculture, where diesel engines are commonly used.

What You'll Do:

Perform work as outlined on a repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
</li>
<li>
Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and commercial vehicles
</li>
<li>
Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections
</li>
<li>
Complete repairs efficiently in a&nbsp;flat rate pay&nbsp;environment
</li>
<li>
Use state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and OEM software
</li>
<li>
Work on a wide range of makes and models, specializing in International® Trucks
</li>
<li>
Observe and record any malfunction and performs repair, as directed by a supervisor.
</li>
<li>
Complete and assist other technicians on major repairs.
</li>
<li>
Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
</li>
<li>
Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
</li>
<li>
Road test vehicles when required. CDL License required for this task.
</li>
<li>
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
</li>
<li>
Display the ability to work in a team environment.
</li>
</ul>
What You Bring:

2+ years of diesel mechanic experience (preferred)
</li>
<li>
Familiarity with medium to heavy-duty trucks and diesel systems
</li>
<li>
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
</li>
<li>
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
</li>
<li>
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
</li>
</ul>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.
</li>
<li>
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing a superior customer service experience.
</li>
<li>
Must have a minimum of two year of technical experience in the medium-/heavy-duty truck industry.
</li>
<li>
Must be physically capable of performing the duties of technician per dealer requirements.
</li>
<li>
Ability to produce quality work in a Flat Rate structure environment.
</li>
<li>
Cummins Certified Technician highly preferred. (x15, isb series 6.7, and L9)
