We are seeking a reliable 3rd shift dump truck driver, 2nd week in August, to haul dirt along I-26 in Asheville. This role requires solo driving during overnight hours with a focus on safety, efficient route navigation, and load management. The driver will be self-directed and report to a dispatcher, ensuring timely deliveries without overnight or extended travel.
Responsibilities
- Haul dirt along designated routes on I-26 during the 3rd shift
- Operate dump truck safely and efficiently
- Navigate routes to meet delivery schedules
- Manage load capacity and secure materials properly
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment readiness
- Maintain open communication with dispatch and relevant personnel
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL license for driving dump trucks
- Strong time management skills to meet shift demands
- Adherence to safety compliance standards
- Effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in truck driving
