The General Tree Care Team are the muscle of our operation. These industrial athletes work together to provide high-quality tree care, helping to maintain and preserve the overall health of our clients’ landscapes.
In this role, team members have the opportunity to work outside and visit beautiful properties in their community. The Tree Care team applies expertise in climbing, pruning, and safety to ensure the health and well-being of each client’s landscape.
The Crew Lead position is an additional level of specialty for select individuals who have demonstrated leadership qualities and received approval from the local branch management to provide direction in a work crew setting. Specific knowledge includes: TCIA Crew Leader Training Program, Crew Safety, Personal Safety, Hazard of Inexperience, and ability to check off levels equal and below.
What a day is like:
Daily focus is working together on a General Tree Care crew to provide high quality tree care to our clients. The Tree Care Team is involved in all aspects of pruning, removals, cable bracing and other concepts related to tree care. Team members are able to safely operate all equipment and perform the assigned job tasks while also providing excellent service to our clients.
What kind of person are we looking for? Someone with:
<ul>
<li>Experience with proper pruning practices including large shade trees and ornamentals</li>
<li>Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species and have a working knowledge of each species’ characteristics</li>
<li>Ability to climb without spurs</li>
<li>Experience with tree care safety standards</li>
<li>Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation</li>
<li>Experience with aerial lifts (bucket truck)</li>
<li>Demonstrate additional competencies in all areas of knowledge for designated skill level.</li>
<li>Communicate advanced understanding of all safety policies and procedures, including hazard tree identification.</li>
<li>Utilize specialized equipment properly for climbing (ropes, saddle, ladders) along with all associated tools.</li>
<li>Apply knowledge of branch collars and proper pruning cuts with total competence on chainsaw operations in small to medium difficulty (40-50’) trees.</li>
<li>Employ ANSI A300 Pruning Standards and Terminology and ANSI Z safety.</li>
<li>Demonstrate knowledge of different tree species and different techniques necessary for climbing each tree including Oaks, Maples, Dogwoods, Apples (Crab vs. Regular), Hemlocks, Pines and Spruce.</li>
<li>Complete work exhibiting ability to raise a ladder, throw a rope, and safe techniques to climb into a tree.</li>
<li>Set up safely with proper placement of lowering lines in a strong enough crotch, know when to attach a tag line, and engage proper lowering techniques.</li>
<li>Know when to double crotch and use other appropriate techniques when working in trees.</li>
<li>Able to drop trees, know when to use ropes for take down and identify potential need to use spikes.</li>
<li>Perform aerial rescue if needed.</li>
</ul>

Primary Location: Perris, CA
Summary:
The primary goal of the Post-Harvest Trimming Technician is to assist the Trimming Department in completing the daily processing amount of finished product. The Post-Harvest Trimmer is responsible for the meticulous trimming and processing of cannabis plants after harvest. this role is critical in ensuring that the final product meets quality standards and is ready for sale or further processing. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Trimming: Carefully trim harvest cannabis plants to remove leaves, stem, and other unwanted parts while preserving the integrity of the buds.</li>
<li>Quality Control: Inspect buds for quality and consistency, ensuring that only the best product moves forward in the processing chain.</li>
<li>Weighing and Recording: Accurately weigh and record the trimmed cannabis, maintaining detailed records of weights and strains processed.</li>
<li>Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain trimming tools and equipment to ensure a hygienic and efficient working environment.</li>
<li>Compliance: Follow all company policies, procedures, and state regulations regarding the handling and processing cannabis.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Experience: Previous experience in cannabis trimming or a related agricultural field is preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Attention to Detail: Ability to focus on detailed tasks for extended periods and maintain high standards of quality.</li>
<li>Manual Dexterity: Proficient in using trimming tools with precision and care.</li>
<li>Physical Stamina: Capable of standing or sitting for extended periods of time and performing repetitive tasks.</li>

Must be ISA Certified Tree Climber : Description Using&nbsp; climbing and rigging techniques, cut away dead or excess branches from trees or shrubs to maintain right-of-way for roads, sidewalks, or utilities, or to improve appearance, health, and value of tree. Prune or treat trees or shrubs using chainsaws, handsaws, hand pruners, clippers, and power pruners. Works off the ground in the tree canopy and will use truck-mounted lifts.
General Tasks:

<li>Climb trees, using climbing hooks and belts, or climb ladders to gain access to work areas.</li>
<li>Cut away dead and excess branches from trees, or clear branches around power lines, using climbing equipment or buckets of extended truck booms, or chainsaws, hooks, handsaws, shears, and clippers.</li>
<li>Hoist tools and equipment to tree trimmers, and lower branches with ropes or block and tackle.</li>
<li>Cable, brace, tie, bolt, stake, and guy trees and branches to provide support.</li>
<li>Clean, sharpen, and lubricate tools and equipment.</li>
<li>Inspect trees to determine if they have diseases or pest problems.</li>
<li>Operate shredding and chipping equipment, and feed limbs and brush into the machines.</li>
<li>Supervise others engaged in tree trimming work and train lower-level employees.</li>
<li>Trim, top, and reshape trees to achieve attractive shapes or to remove low-hanging branches.</li>
<li>Clear sites, streets, and grounds of woody and herbaceous materials, such as tree stumps and fallen trees and limbs.</li>
<li>Collect debris and refuse from tree trimming and removal operations into piles, using shovels, rakes or other tools.</li>
<li>Load debris and refuse onto trucks and haul it away for disposal.</li>
<li>Remove broken limbs from wires, using hooked extension poles.</li>
<li>Operate boom trucks, loaders, stump chippers, brush chippers, tractors, power saws, trucks, sprayers, and other equipment and tools.</li>
<li>Provide information to the public regarding trees, such as advice on tree care.</li>
<li>Prune, cut down, fertilize, and spray trees as directed by tree surgeons.</li>
<li>Transplant and remove trees and shrubs, and prepare trees for moving.</li>
<li>Trim jagged stumps, using saws or pruning shears.</li>
<li>ISA Certified Arborist&nbsp;a plus</li>
