Role and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with AVS, AIT and key stakeholders in order to determine the software's technical direction, system design and implementation plan.
- Manage and be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the software team to ensure each project remains on schedule and on budget.
- Create, maintain and track project plans and schedules, cost estimates and problem logs throughout the life of the project.
- Provide routine status reports to AVS, AIT and Key stakeholders; as well as offer leadership, guidance and motivation to developers and programmers while resolving internal conflicts.
- Manage administrative functions including conducting software team meetings, troubleshooting technical issues and facilitating the deployment of software upgrades.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, IT Management, and/or other IT degree is required for this position.
- Master's degree in Information Systems, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, IT Management, and/or other IT degree is required for this position.
- Engineering, Math, and Science degrees are acceptable substitute degrees.
Certification Requirements:
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP) or equivalent project or program management certification is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Experience using JIRA for agile/hybrid project management, configuration management for software release tracking and issue management.
- Must demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work independently or under general direction only.
