Overview
We’re seeking a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join an apartment community team. This role is the face of the community—responsible for providing exceptional service, touring prospective residents, and supporting the daily operations of the leasing office. The ideal candidate is organized, outgoing, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Sales
- Greet and tour prospective residents, showcasing the community, amenities, and available floorplans
- Follow up with all leads, inquiries, and applications to maximize closing ratios
- Assist prospective residents with the full leasing process—from application to move-in
- Maintain high occupancy through effective sales techniques and renewals
Customer Service
- Deliver professional and friendly service to residents and prospects
- Address resident questions, concerns, and service requests with urgency and care
- Support resident retention initiatives and community events
Administrative Duties
- Process applications, verify documents, and ensure Fair Housing compliance
- Prepare leases, notices, and move-in packets
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and daily traffic logs
- Manage phone calls, emails, online leads, and walk-ins
Property Presentation
- Ensure the leasing office, amenities, and model units are clean and tour-ready
- Assist with community marketing, outreach, social media, and online listing updates
- Collaborate with the team to maintain strong curb appeal and a positive resident experience
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of leasing or customer service experience (multifamily required)
- Strong communication, sales, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws
- Experience with Yardi, AppFolio, OneSite, Knock, or similar systems (preferred)
- Ability to work weekends as required
- Professional, friendly, and dependable
Preferred Skills
- High closing ratio
- Marketing or social media experience
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
