Job DescriptionQA Document Control Specialist

Location: On-site (Connecticut)
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary Range: $72,000 – $90,000/year (based on experience)

Position Overview

The QA Document Control Specialist will play a key role in maintaining quality documentation, supporting compliance efforts, and assisting with audits and customer requirements.

This position requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and process quality documents and records
  • Support document lifecycle tracking, control, and compliance
  • Assist with QA-related reviews (sales orders, purchase orders, certifications)
  • Prepare, edit, and organize quality documentation and reports
  • Coordinate with customer inspectors and auditors as needed
  • Support internal, supplier, and quality program audits
  • Record findings and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new QA team members

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn internal systems and software
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines independently

Preferred

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ASME Section III
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/prints
  • Experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment
  • Background in machining or manufacturing environments
