What would you do as a Estate Planning Legal Assistant
As a new Estate Planning Legal Assistant at Woven Legal LLC, your daily responsibilities will revolve around supporting clients and attorneys in various aspects of the estate planning process. You can expect to draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, ensuring accuracy and compliance with California law. Regular communication with clients will be essential as you gather information, answer questions, and provide updates on their cases. Your schedule will be flexible, allowing you to choose hours that align with your personal commitments while meeting project deadlines.
You may engage in collaborative meetings with the team to brainstorm solutions for client needs, enhancing your problem-solving skills in a supportive environment. Requirements for this Estate Planning Legal Assistant job
To thrive as an Estate Planning Legal Assistant at Woven Legal LLC, you'll need a combination of specialized skills and tools. Proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Taiwanese is essential for effective communication with clients from diverse backgrounds. A strong background in estate planning is crucial, with at least 3-4 years of experience allowing you to navigate complex issues such as drafting revocable trusts and identifying potential legal concerns to discuss with attorneys. A high level of expertise in Gsuite is necessary for efficient document management and collaboration. Familiarity with WealthCounsel will ensure you can draft and organize estate planning documents seamlessly.
Additionally, experience with client management systems like MyCase or Lawmatics will enhance your ability to maintain client records and streamline workflow. A detail-oriented mindset and excellent problem-solving skills will empower you to provide exceptional support, maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction and accurate legal work.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Able to speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese and/or Taiwanese;
- Highly experienced with Revocable Trusts and able to pinpoint issues when drafting and call them to attorney's attention;
- At least 3-4 years of experience working in Estate Planning;
- Experienced user of Gsuite;
- Experienced user of Wealthcounsel;
- Experience working with MyCase or Lawmatics.
