Role Description The Escrow Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Farmington, MI. This role manages the end-to-end escrow and closing process for residential real estate transactions, including opening new escrow files, reviewing purchase agreements, and coordinating with buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate professionals. The Escrow Officer prepares and reviews settlement statements and closing documents, ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and oversees the disbursement of funds and recording of documents. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining accurate records, resolving issues that arise during the transaction, providing clear and timely communication, and delivering responsive customer service to all parties involved in each closing.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Closings and Escrow processes, including preparing settlement statements and managing transaction timelines.
  • \n

  • Notary skills, including the ability to notarize documents and ensure proper execution of closing packages.
  • \n

  • Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and support all parties in the transaction.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of Residential Real Estate practices, terminology, and documentation.
  • \n

  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple files simultaneously.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with title, escrow, and closing software systems and standard office applications.
  • \n

  • Prior experience as an Escrow Officer or in title insurance, closing, or real estate transaction coordination preferred.
  • \n

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in real estate, finance, or related fields is a plus.
