Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Kentucky Speech Language Pathology license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Demonstrated experience in school-based SLP roles, especially in elementary settings
- Expertise in conducting early elementary student screenings
- Proficient in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Strong collaborative spirit with ability to work alongside teachers, families, and administration
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services to elementary-aged students
- Administer screenings and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop tailored therapy interventions in alignment with each student's IEP
- Lead or participate in IEP meetings, working closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Track student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and update goals as needed
- Offer direct and consultative services, supporting both students and classroom educators
