Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading metals supplier in Middlebury, Indiana to hire dependable and hardworking individuals for a General Labor / Skid Builder position. Shift Details
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-2:30 PM
- Regular overtime available
- Occasional Saturday work as needed
- Starting Pay: $18.00/hour
What You'll Do
As a General Labor / Skid Builder, you'll play an important role in preparing products for shipment and supporting warehouse operations. Responsibilities include:
- Building custom wooden skids, pallets, and shipping crates using hand and power tools
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to specifications
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the facility
- Assisting with packaging and securing metal products for safe transportation
- Maintaining an organized and safe work environment
- Supporting warehouse and production teams with general labor tasks as needed
- Cross-training in multiple departments to develop new skills and advance your career
What We're Looking For
- Experience using hand tools, tape measures, saws, nail guns, or other construction-related tools preferred
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or general labor experience is a plus
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Dependable attendance and a positive team attitude
- Forklift experience is helpful but not required
