Heavy Equipment Operator
About the Role
We are seeking skilled and safety‑focused Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience operating a wide range of earthmoving and construction equipment and a strong commitment to quality work and jobsite safety.
Seeking Operators for the Following Equipment
Candidates should be proficient with one or more of the following machines:
- Scraper
- Bulldozer
- Motor Grader
- Excavator
- Skid Steer
- Roller/Compactor
- CDL Water Truck (Valid CDL required)
- Agricultural Tractor
- Small Trencher
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently for earthmoving, grading, trenching, backfilling, and general site development tasks.
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Follow project plans, grade stakes, and directions from supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work cooperatively with ground crews and other operators to complete tasks on schedule.
- Adhere to all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment listed above.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL required for Water Truck operators.
- Ability to read and interpret grade stakes, construction drawings, and site plans (preferred).
- Strong awareness of safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Capability to climb on/off machines safely.
