\n 🌙 Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
\n ⏰ Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
\n 📋 Contract: 13 Weeks
\n 🔄 Weekend: Every other weekend

Position Requirements\n
- \n
- 2 years of specialty experience required
- Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
- Must be able to set up and use BiPAP
- Ability to recognize basic cardiac rhythms
- Telemetry monitoring — RNs read their own strips
- Experience with Cardizem, insulin, and heparin drips preferred
- Critical Access Hospital experience highly preferred
- Cerner experience preferred; training may be provided to the right candidate

Unit Details\n

- 21-bed Medical-Surgical unit
- Average census: 8–10 patients
- Typical ratio: 1:5, occasionally 1:6
- Approximately 3 nurses scheduled per shift
- Common patient population:\n

- Respiratory conditions
- Pneumonia
- Post-op orthopedic patients
- Hip and knee procedures
- Wound care
- Cardiac/telemetry patients
- Pediatrics occasionally
- Urology
- Skilled-care patients

\n
- Orthopedic patients are common
- Mindray telemetry monitors
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Scheduling\n
- \n
- Self-scheduling available
- Block scheduling may be accommodated depending on unit needs
- Schedules are generally prepared about 2 weeks in advance
- Approximately 6 weeks scheduled at a time
- 2 shifts of unit orientation/precepting typically provided

Floating\n
- \n
- May float as needed
- Med-Surg/Telemetry RNs do not float to OB
- OB nurses may float to Med-Surg/Telemetry
\n
\n

Additional Information\n

- No local clinicians — minimum 50-mile distance requirement
- Scrubs: Any professional color
- Housing leads may be available
- Strong candidates may be considered even if BiPAP experience is limited, as RT/paramedics/EMTs can provide assistance.
