Job DescriptionLHH is assisting a midsize law firm with 3 Texas offices find an Insurance Defense Legal Assistant for their North Dallas/Galleria area office. The ideal candidate will require experience with insurance defense litigation, from inception to trial.

Responsibilities:
- Support 2-4 attorneys
- Support heavy transcription desk
- File case documents in an organized manner for easy access.
- Draft documents such as pleadings, discovery and correspondence.
- Draft transmittal letters to opposing counsel and/or court.
- Electronic filing/e-service of pleadings and discovery.
- Assist attorney in preparation of hearings and upcoming depositions.
- Maintain organized and thorough documentation for every case.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
- 4 years of experience working at a Texas Law Firm
- Experience with insurance defense litigation/personal injury defense litigation. Plaintiff Personal Injury experience will not be considered.
- This is a fully on-site/in office position.
- Heavy Transcription experience required.
- Strong technical skills including MS Office.
- Meticulous litigation document management and naming skills.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills include excellent proofreading skills.
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with people at all levels of the firm.
- Excellence in organizational skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task; high level time-management skills.
- Attention to details with good follow-through and follow-up; possess the ability to anticipate what needs to be done.
- Ability to maintain a customer/client focus and build rapport with others inside and outside the firm. High level of professionalism; maintain confidential information.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain calm in high pressure situations.
