Job Title: Commercial Electricians - Journeymen & Apprentices
Type of Role: 3 year contract
Shift / Hours: 6 days | 12 hr shifts
Location: Brownsville, TX
Salary Range: $30 - $50 (DOE)
TC Tradesmen is hiring experienced Commercial Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians for multiple projects throughout Texas. These are traveling positions with per diem available for qualifying assignments.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical wiring, lighting, outlets, panels, and electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Run conduit, pull wire, and install electrical fixtures and components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Inspect electrical systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable electrical codes.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow all OSHA guidelines, company policies, and job-site safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and coordinate with other trades as needed.
Skills and Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of commercial electrical experience
• Journeyman and experienced Apprentice Electricians
• Current TDLR Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician license
• Experience with conduit bending and installation, pulling wire, terminations, fixtures, panels, and other commercial electrical work
• Ability to read blueprints and follow project specifications
• Must have basic electrical hand tools and appropriate PPE
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to projects throughout Texas
• Strong attendance, safety awareness, and work ethic
