As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated testing solutions that ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to build robust automation frameworks, drive test strategy, and integrate quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle. This role requires strong expertise in Java and Playwright, a passion for automation, and a proactive approach to improving product quality and release confidence.
How will you make an impact?

<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and backend services.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Build and enhance automation frameworks using Java, Playwright, and related testing technologies.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Create automated test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Analyze requirements and system behavior to identify edge cases, failure scenarios, coverage gaps, and quality risks.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing throughout the software release lifecycle.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and repeatable quality gates.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Investigate test failures, troubleshoot automation issues, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects efficiently.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Review automation code, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of automation frameworks and testing processes.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, testability, maintainability, and release readiness.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Drive improvements in automation coverage, execution efficiency, and test reliability.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Mentor junior automation engineers and share technical knowledge, tools, and best practices across the team.</li>
</ul>
Have you got what it takes?
<ul>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">At least 4-8 years of hands-on experience in test automation, software quality engineering, or a related field.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong programming skills in Java with a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Hands-on experience with Playwright, 
<ul>
<li>Experience with API testing tools and frameworks such as REST Assured, Postman, or similar technologies.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test cases from requirements and acceptance criteria.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC processes, Agile/Scrum practices, and release management.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub, or similar tools.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience working with version control systems such as Git.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, including root cause analysis and defect investigation.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering teams.</li>
</ul>
You will have an advantage if you also have:
<ul>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience with TestNG, JUnit, Maven, Gradle, or other Java-based testing frameworks and build tools.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Knowledge of database testing, SQL, and test data management practices.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience improving test reliability, reducing flaky tests, and optimizing automation execution times.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Familiarity with cloud environments, containerized applications, and microservices-based architectures.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience working on enterprise-scale software products or complex distributed systems.</li>
</ul>
