Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Fabricate parts as needed to ensure proper functionality of equipment.
- Align and adjust components to meet manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment effectively for repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with other service technicians to complete complex repairs efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in heavy lifting and moving of industrial equipment as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in a dealership or service environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly with diesel engines and industrial equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment, OEM Computer Diagnostic Software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
