About the Role:
\n
We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to manage the backlog, technical roadmap, and execution strategy for our enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, and business stakeholders—translating complex security and architectural requirements into actionable, prioritized epics and user stories.

Working closely with a dedicated team of high-performing Java/Keycloak engineers, you will ensure our auth systems, single sign-on (SSO), SCIM provisioning, and GitOps deployments align with enterprise security standards and organizational goals.

What You’ll Do:
\n
- \n
- Product Vision & Roadmap: Partner with platform leadership, security teams, and engineering leads to define and execute the tactical roadmap for central identity, Keycloak extensions, and authorization services.
- Backlog Management & Refinement: Own, prioritize, and refine the product backlog. Translate high-level architectural goals (e.g., zero-downtime upgrades, SCIM/SIEM integrations, IaC pipelines) into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Technical & Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the main connective tissue between developer customers, business units, cybersecurity, compliance auditor groups, and the engineering execution team.
- Agile Execution: Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, and sprint reviews within a cloud-native GitOps (ArgoCD, Terraform) delivery framework.
- AI Tool Integration: Utilize modern AI tools and assistants (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor) to write detailed tech specifications, draft user acceptance criteria, analyze requirements, and optimize product operations workflows.
- Metrics & Identity Lifecycle Governance: Track key product metrics—such as system uptime, authentication latency, user onboarding conversion, and compliance audit readiness.

What We’re Looking For:
\n
- \n
- Experience: 4+ years of Technical Product Owner, Product Manager, or Systems Analyst experience, with at least 2 years focused on IAM, Platform Engineering, or Security Infrastructure products.
- Technical IAM Literacy: Strong conceptual understanding of identity protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0), user provisioning standards (SCIM), and centralized authentication platforms (e.g., Keycloak, Auth0, Okta).
- Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex concepts clearly across both technical and business audiences. Highly collaborative with a team-first mindset.
- Organization & Execution: Strong organizational skills with a track record of juggling competing priorities, managing technical debt alongside new features, and keeping complex projects moving forward.
- AI-Assisted Operations: Practical experience leveraging AI productivity and documentation tools to streamline feature scoping, spec generation, and backlog management.
- Infrastructure & Security Familiarity: Working knowledge of modern CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments (Kubernetes, Helm), and audit/security telemetry (SIEM integration needs).
- Agile Leadership: Proven track record of owning backlogs in Jira or Azure DevOps and collaborating effectively with Staff-level engineers.

- Practical experience with Kanban methodologies; Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or related Agile certifications.
- Hands-on background as a software developer, systems engineer, or security analyst prior to moving into product ownership.
- Experience with enterprise identity governance, SOC 2/ISO audit compliance, or zero-trust identity frameworks.
