Position Overview
The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of maintenance technicians responsible for keeping manufacturing equipment and facility systems running at peak performance. This role sits at the intersection of hands-on technical expertise and team leadership - overseeing daily maintenance operations, driving preventive maintenance execution, enforcing safety and food safety compliance, and partnering cross-functionally with Production and Engineering to eliminate recurring downtime. This is a newly created position with real visibility and room to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians - building skills, accountability, and a strong team culture
- Lead execution of both preventive and emergency maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and minimize production interruptions
- Enforce all safety protocols including OSHA standards, LOTO procedures, and food safety requirements (HACCP, GMPs, SOPs)
- Partner with Production and Engineering teams to diagnose recurring equipment issues and implement lasting solutions
- Oversee smaller capital projects and in-house improvement initiatives from planning through completion
- Manage parts inventory and reorder supplies to ensure technicians always have what they need
- Assist with shutdown planning, equipment installations, and upgrades
- Utilize CMMS to track work orders, analyze trends, and drive data-informed decisions
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement changes that improve equipment reliability and operational output
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree in Maintenance, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field - OR equivalent experience in manufacturing maintenance leadership
- Minimum 3 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams of 5 or more
- Proficiency with a CMMS platform
- Working knowledge of OSHA, LOTO, HACCP, and GMP standards
- Strong organizational and time management skills across schedules, work orders, and projects
- Collaborative communicator comfortable reporting across departments and to leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food or beverage manufacturing
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and tools
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment for the majority of the shift
- Comfortable working at a computer/desk for reporting and administrative tasks as needed
- Occasional travel for trainings, workshops, or seminars
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE while on the production floor
Benefits
Annual salary: $80,000 - $100,000 (based on experience)
