Pay Rate: $21.00 - $25.00


Position Summary

A confidential vehicle manufacturing client in Riverside, CA is seeking Automotive Assemblers I to support production operations across multiple departments, including Sewing, Powertrain, and Final Assembly.


This position is responsible for assembling parts, components, and subassemblies according to work instructions, production standards, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on manufacturing, assembly, production, automotive, mechanical, or warehouse experience, along with strong attendance, a positive attitude, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.

Candidates may be assigned to different production areas based on experience, skill set, and business needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts, components, and subassemblies according to work instructions, drawings, job travelers, or production requirements.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and basic production equipment to complete assembly tasks.
  • Support production areas such as sewing, powertrain, or final assembly depending on assignment.
  • Inspect parts and completed work for basic quality, fit, alignment, and workmanship.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and production schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Report production issues, defective parts, missing materials, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals and quality expectations.
  • Handle parts, materials, tools, and components safely and efficiently.
  • Perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Support additional production duties as assigned.


Department Assignment Examples

Sewing Assembly

Candidates assigned to Sewing may support the assembly or preparation of fabric, upholstery, panels, seating components, or related interior materials. Responsibilities may include cutting, positioning, attaching, sewing, trimming, or inspecting materials based on production requirements.

Powertrain Assembly

Candidates assigned to Powertrain may assist with mechanical assembly related to vehicle powertrain components, hardware, brackets, hoses, fittings, or related systems. This area may require stronger mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.

Final Assembly

Candidates assigned to Final Assembly may support the installation, fastening, fitting, inspection, and finishing of vehicle components before completion. This may include interior or exterior components, panels, hardware, trim, seats, fixtures, or other final production items.


Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, automotive, assembly, mechanical, warehouse, or related hands-on work preferred.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance and good work history.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn different production areas and support business needs.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior automotive, bus, vehicle, aerospace, or manufacturing assembly experience.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, final assembly, or production line work.
  • Sewing, upholstery, fabric, or interior component experience for sewing department openings.
  • Experience using drills, impact tools, torque tools, wrenches, screwdrivers, rivet guns, or other production tools.
  • Ability to read basic work instructions, diagrams, or production paperwork.
  • Forklift, pallet jack, or material handling experience is a plus, if required by the site.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials, tools, and components as required.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery, tools, noise, and production activity.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, which may include safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, or other protective equipment.
