This full time opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with no weekends, giving you the opportunity to focus on providing exceptional patient care while maintaining a healthy work life balance.
Position Summary
As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and other medically complex diagnoses. Working as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will empower patients to regain independence, restore functional abilities, and improve their overall quality of life through compassionate, evidence based care.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living, upper extremity function, balance, coordination, strength, cognition, and functional mobility.
- Evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and environmental modifications that promote patient safety and independence.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, safety techniques, and adaptive strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Provide compassionate, patient centered care while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and clinical excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
Current California Occupational Therapist License in good standing.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Current Basic Life Support certification.
Minimum of one year of recent Occupational Therapy experience required.
Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
