Job Description

Required Skills:

  • Senior engineer with over 15 years of experience in Closures systems related field.
  • System-level knowledge of sliding doors, tailgates, and latches.
  • Understanding of actuator, sensor, and switch integration with Controller ECU and network.
  • Integration of mechanical, electrical, and control components in closure systems
  • Exposure and experience with different failure modes: motor jam, latch misalignment, switch failure, position sensor errors.
  • Ability to adapt vehicle development experience to robot taxi application and development methodology, creating new approaches when needed.
  • Experienced in technical consulting and able to drive small engineering team with action plan
  • Effective communication in cross functional team settings, cross functional team range from Firmware to Vehicle subsystem to Base Operation team
  • Experience in transitioning automotive system designs from the early development phases to high volume production plus a deep understanding of the issues (and solutions) encountered during manufacturing and servicing high volume production automotive products

Required Competence:

  • Update systems Specification and System
  • System architecture design boundary and function diagram - Support new feature definition/update and
  • System Integration - Issue root case analysis and resolution,
  • SFMEA to drive future diagnostic design
  • Develop/update Diagnostics and Vehicle reaction
  • Define prognostics for service and early repair actions
  • Lessons learnt from quality history
  • Create and model system requirement
  • Define EDTs and support EE architecture development
  • Develop SFMEA to drive future diagnostic design
  • Support safety requirement cascade
  • Document and modelling HW capabilities and constraints to support controls development
  • Define system integration strategy
