Location: California (Century City, Downtown Los Angeles, Orange County, Palo Alto, San Diego, San Francisco)

Direct Counsel is seeking an Of Counsel to join the Antitrust and Competition practice of a leading global Am Law law firm in California. This is a senior-level opportunity within a rapidly growing, nationally recognized antitrust group handling high-stakes enforcement, investigations, and complex litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on antitrust and competition law matters, including government and internal investigations and enforcement actions

• Represent clients before enforcement authorities such as the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)

• Handle civil antitrust litigation, including discovery management, drafting pretrial motions, and overseeing complex cases

• Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings

• Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on strategy, case management, and client counseling

• Provide sophisticated legal analysis on competition issues affecting major corporations and financial institutions

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school

• Admitted to practice in California (or eligible)

• Significant experience in one or more of the following:

  • Antitrust and competition law, government and internal investigations, and enforcement actions

  • Civil antitrust litigation, including discovery and motion practice

• Experience interacting with federal enforcement agencies strongly preferred

• Prior federal clerkship and/or background in economics or a related discipline preferred

• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and case-management skills

Compensation:

• Expected base salary: $460,000+ annually
