Location: California (Century City, Downtown Los Angeles, Orange County, Palo Alto, San Diego, San Francisco)
Direct Counsel is seeking an Of Counsel to join the Antitrust and Competition practice of a leading global Am Law law firm in California. This is a senior-level opportunity within a rapidly growing, nationally recognized antitrust group handling high-stakes enforcement, investigations, and complex litigation.
Key Responsibilities:

Advise clients on antitrust and competition law matters, including government and internal investigations and enforcement actions

Represent clients before enforcement authorities such as the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)

Handle civil antitrust litigation, including discovery management, drafting pretrial motions, and overseeing complex cases

Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings

Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on strategy, case management, and client counseling

Provide sophisticated legal analysis on competition issues affecting major corporations and financial institutions
Qualifications:

JD from an accredited law school

Admitted to practice in California (or eligible)

Significant experience in one or more of the following:

Antitrust and competition law, government and internal investigations, and enforcement actions

Civil antitrust litigation, including discovery and motion practice

Experience interacting with federal enforcement agencies strongly preferred

Prior federal clerkship and/or background in economics or a related discipline preferred

Excellent legal writing, analytical, and case-management skills
Compensation:
-
Expected base salary: $460,000+ annually
