Senior Contracts Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to lead and oversee government and commercial contracting activities in support of national security and federal mission customers. This role is responsible for full lifecycle contract management and serves as a key advisor to leadership, program teams, and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to manage complex contractual portfolios in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end contract management for government and commercial agreements, from pre-award through closeout.
  • Negotiate and administer a wide range of contractual instruments, including prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
  • Oversee proposal-related contracting activities, including cost volume development, compliance reviews, pricing strategies, rate negotiations, and risk assessments.
  • Support capture and proposal efforts for federal solicitations such as IDIQs, task orders, BAAs, and schedule-based vehicles.
  • Partner closely with Program Management, Business Development, Capture, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Operations to ensure contractual alignment with program and corporate objectives.
  • Manage subcontracting and purchasing activities, ensuring compliance, performance, and financial integrity throughout execution.
  • Lead and support contract closeout activities, including audits, de-obligations, and final deliverables.
  • Support internal and external audits of contract-related systems, processes, and documentation.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to contracts staff, fostering professional development and high performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree and/or relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in government contracts management, including pricing and subcontract administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading or supervising contracts personnel.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and contract types.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, mitigate contractual risk, and deliver results.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Project.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating independently in a dynamic environment.
  • High energy, adaptable, and effective in collaborative, cross-functional settings.
