Job Title: Sr Project Engineer
Job Location: Minneapolis, MN 55413
Pay Rate: $52- $63/hr
Duration: 6+ months
Job Description:
- In this role, you will have a direct impact on the development of our factory test equipment and contribute to the success of our Ring Laser Gyro and Inertial Measurement products.
- Your attention to detail and problem-solving abilities will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of new equipment builds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project building and validation of Factory Test Equipment.
- Develop and manage project schedules.
- Establish new build processes for custom factory equipment.
- Apply technical troubleshooting skills and knowledge to Factory Test Equipment (FTE).
- Integration of test solution designs into working systems for the Factory.
- Interface with vendors and suppliers for BOM development and acquisition of parts for equipment builds.
- Generate engineering documents for the FTE – schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, specifications, etc.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills):
- 6+ years of experience in hardware design and development.
- Experience with equipment testing and validation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Troubleshooting capability to isolate failure modes and implement solutions.
- Excellent computer literacy.
- Ability to focus on important information and identify key details.
- Capability of following guidelines and ensuring efficiency on given project tasks.
- Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize design of products, parts, systems or processes.
- Clear and concise communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
- Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done and do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
