Compensation: Base Salary $90K-$120K + Bonus Opportunities
Position Overview
Full-service civil litigation defense firm seeking Associate Attorney to assist in handling cases related to workers' compensation and insurance defense litigation. This role involves researching legal issues, drafting legal documents, and providing support to senior attorneys in court and during negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and managing workers' compensation and insurance defense litigation cases
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Attend court hearings and client meetings as required
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and client representations
- Maintain case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and organized
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the cases
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the state
- 2+ years of experience in litigation, preferably in workers' compensation or general insurance defense
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
