Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on and technically skilled Warehouse IT Support Technician to provide on-site support for all technology used within our warehouse operations. This role involves setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computers, printers, robotics (e.g., auto bagger machines), and other warehouse automation systems. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of computer hardware, basic electrical systems, and industrial machinery support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, including computers, monitors, label printers, and barcode scanners.
- Set up and manage warehouse IT infrastructure, including network wiring and basic cabling (Ethernet, power cords, etc.).
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs on warehouse equipment.
- Support, troubleshoot, and maintain automated machinery such as auto baggers and other robotic systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Work closely with warehouse operations and IT teams to ensure smooth integration and function of all systems.
- Maintain documentation for equipment configurations, repairs, and procedures.
- Respond promptly to help desk requests related to IT hardware and warehouse systems.
- Ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards during all technical work.
- Provide training and support to warehouse staff on equipment use and basic troubleshooting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 13 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a warehouse, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems, basic networking, and printer setup.
- Familiarity with warehouse automation equipment such as auto bagger machines, label printers, and scanners.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and ability to perform low-voltage electrical work.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment and tools as needed (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with warehouse management systems
- Familiarity with robotics or programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
Preferred but Not Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
