Job Description
We are seeking a Structural Flux-Cored Welder to fabricate and repair carbon-steel frames in accordance with AWS standards. This role combines blueprint reading, structural welding, metal fabrication, material preparation, joint assembly, and quality control, with opportunities to advance to a Lead Welder position.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints for steel-frame fabrication and repair.
- Perform structural welding on carbon-steel components.
- Fabricate, prepare, measure, and assemble metal materials and joints.
- Inspect welds through self-inspection and a combination of quality-control methods.
- Follow AWS standards and established safety requirements.
- Maintain quality throughout fabrication and repair work.
- Clean and organize the worksite upon completion.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of structural welding experience.
- Training in welding or metal fabrication.
- Experience with Flux-Cored Arc Welding.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and making precise measurements.
- Knowledge of welding inspection and metal fabrication.
