Title: Junior Data Analyst
Location: Onsite in Washington, DC or remote in these states FL, TN, DE, MO, TX, or GA
Job Type: Full-Time | Exempt
Salary: $50,000 - $52,000 / year
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Job Summary
Responsible for working collaboratively with managers and senior managers on data analysis and projects, overseeing delegated tasks, coordinating with appropriate employees, and ensuring projects progress on time. Researches and analyzes data, produces reports and dashboards, and communicates marketplace trends and the success of existing efforts. Serves as a full backup for the Senior eCommerce Specialist.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively with management in planning, developing, and implementing data analytics and project plans
- Maintains relevant organizational and departmental dashboards for trending and analysis
- Works with vendors to obtain relevant data sources, staying current with changing and emerging trends
- Maintains the data warehouse solution and all vendor connections and file transfers for accurate data
- Produces and maintains assigned reports; generates periodic reports and KPI dashboards and gathers feedback for improvement
- Tracks assignments including resources required, timelines, schedules, and communication
- Monitors progress of all reports and projects against established goals and timelines; provides ongoing status communication to appropriate parties
- Maintains compliance and utilizes industry-standard measures and reporting guidelines to produce relevant, consistent data
- Recommends changes based on efficiencies found, research gathered, or regulatory requirements
- Writes, edits, and updates procedures for all job functions; becomes a product expert with various data software
- Backs up the eCommerce department as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience
Education: One of the following — a two-year college degree, a specialized certification or license, completion of vendor-conducted training courses, or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program
Interpersonal Skills: Requires a significant level of trust and diplomacy alongside normal courtesy and tact. Role involves extensive personal contact, relationship-building with outside entities, and the ability to motivate or influence others. Strong analytical, computer, and application skills required.
Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, databases, and printers; general knowledge of PC networks
- Expert-level proficiency in MS Excel, including formatting, manipulating datasets, and using charts, graphs, and pivot tables; SQL, R, or Python experience preferred; database experience a plus
- Ability to conduct data analysis, identify trends or patterns, and make recommendations based on findings
- Ability to produce clear reports that effectively communicate analyses and findings
- Must be able to work and travel independently and operate general office equipment
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and move at least 25 pounds
