Job Description

Connsci is seeking a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert who will provide Risk Management Framework (RMF), FISMA compliance, and ATO support across military enclaves and geographically separated units.

In this role you can expect to:

  • Serve as a lead technical advisor on cybersecurity compliance for enterprise networks (NIPR and SIPR).
  • Prepare RMF artifacts including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Support the development, validation, and submission of ATO packages via eMASS and coordinate with AO/ISSMs throughout the RMF lifecycle.
  • Mentor base-level IT and cybersecurity personnel to support self-sufficiency and readiness for cyber inspections (CCORI, CRR-M).
  • Evaluate and validate Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for assets, ensuring proper documentation and mitigation of findings.
  • Track and report progress of cybersecurity compliance using systems such as SNAP, GIAP, and ITIPS.
  • Contribute to the development of cybersecurity SOPs, governance documents, and inspection preparation plans.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance per federal stipulation
  • At least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity compliance, information assurance, or RMF consulting within Department of Defense environments
  • Demonstrated experience with RMF, FISMA, and ATO package development
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification (CISSP, CASP+, CISA, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 controls and STIG implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience with Air Force systems such as eMASS, SNAP, GIAP, ITIPS
  • Familiarity with cyber governance structure and INDOPACOM mission context
  • Experience supporting CRR-M and CCORI assessments in operational environments

Travel Requirement: This position will require up to 40% travel across the Indo-Pacific region (Japan, Korea, Alaska, Guam, Diego Garcia)
