Job Description
Job DescriptionLHH is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their longstanding plaintiff-focused client's litigation team. This role supports a seasoned attorney with a traditional workflow and offers a stable, close-knit office environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide dedicated support to one attorney, including dictation-based document production and management of a paper-heavy practice
- Prepare filings, organize case materials, and assist with litigation tasks across personal injury, insurance defense, or general civil matters
- Coordinate schedules, track deadlines, and maintain physical and electronic files using Office 365; familiarity with systems like iManage or Worldox is helpful
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw and assist with correspondence and client communications
- Step in for limited overflow litigation support when needed while remaining focused on legal assistant responsibilities (not general admin)
Who You Are
- Experienced litigation support professional with a background in PI, ID, or strong general civil litigation
- Comfortable working with dictation, paper files, and an attorney who prefers traditional methods
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable, seeking long-term employment rather than a temporary role before law school
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365; exposure to document management systems or Westlaw is a plus
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation ($50,000-$65,000) with annual bonus eligibility
- On-site schedule (5 days in office) with reasonable flexibility for weather, appointments, or personal needs
- Supportive firm culture where each attorney has dedicated assistance, alongside a receptionist and office manager
- Immediate hiring need; this position replaces a departing team member, with stability and longevity highly valued
