Position: Senior Drupal Developer (US Citizen, Public Trust Eligible)

Location: 100% Remote – U.S. only (CST/EST preferred)

Contract Length: Long-term Contract - 6–12 Months with likely extensions

Target Hourly Pay: $65/hr - $70/hr W2 (eligible for benefits after 60 days)

Work Auth: Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance

About the Role:

Join a digital modernization initiative supporting a federal agency focused on transforming legacy systems into scalable, secure, and user-friendly platforms. This team is leveraging Drupal 10 and modern integration strategies to build custom solutions. The Senior Drupal Developer will lead efforts in module development, API integrations, and complex content migrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex Drupal-based solutions
  • Build custom modules and extend existing functionality
  • Design sophisticated content types, taxonomies, and views
  • Create custom themes using modern front-end technologies
  • Lead small to mid-sized development initiatives
  • Implement complex migrations (ideally SharePoint to Drupal)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced site issues
  • Optimize caching and performance
  • Collaborate with architects and contribute to technical documentation
  • Ensure security best practices and compliance standards

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of professional experience, including 3–5 years in Drupal development
  • Strong expertise in PHP, Drupal module development, and integration
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (Twig, JavaScript, CSS)
  • Experience with site building, configuration management, and Git workflows
  • Demonstrated experience with custom module development, API integration, performance optimization, automated testing, and deployment
  • Working knowledge of Composer, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, database optimization, caching strategies, and content migrations
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices, technical documentation, mentoring, and government security requirements (FedRAMP, FISMA) preferred
