Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Technician to support inspection activities within a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device industry.
This role is responsible for performing mechanical and visual inspections, ensuring all products meet IDEV regulatory standards and specifications. The technician will also document inspection results, identify non-conformances, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve moderately complex quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and First Article Inspections (FAI) of incoming materials, manufactured components, tooling, and processes.
  • Conduct mechanical and visual inspections using CMMs, vision systems, and MicroView/VU software.
  • Verify parts against engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, specifications, and workmanship standards.
  • Develop and document inspection routines and provide guidance on the operation of measurement equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including Device History Records (DHRs), inspection logs, and quality records.
  • Identify, document, and track non-conformances to support yield analysis and corrective actions.
  • Investigate and assist in resolving quality issues of moderate complexity.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to recommend solutions and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with IDEV regulatory standards and internal quality procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years of inspection experience, preferably within medical device or regulated manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
  • Experience using vision inspection systems and MicroView/VU software.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Strong documentation skills for inspection reports, non-conformances, and quality records.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Manufacturing ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CMI (Certified Mechanical Inspector) or CQT (Certified Quality Technician) certification.
  • Experience working in FDA-regulated or ISO-compliant environments (medical device preferred).
  • Experience performing First Article Inspections and inspection method development.
